Tower Grove Baptist Church Children's Ministries

Children are important to God!

Jesus said, "Permit the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14, Mark 10:14, Luke 18:16) And that's exactly what we strive to do at Tower Grove, bring children to Jesus.

The Bible teaches that we all must have childlike faith in order to become a Christian, and that what we learn as a child will stay with us throughout our entire lives.

Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it. - Proverbs 22:6

At Tower Grove Baptist Church, we have a number of ministries designed to help kids learn more about God.

AWANA Clubs

During the school year, we have Awana Clubs for children age 3 through the sixth grade. Awana meets on Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm and runs through 8:00 pm. AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" and it's taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 which is about studying God's Word - the focus of Awana Clubs. Registration is required for Awana, and can be done beforehand, or on the child's first visit to the club. Parents are welcome to stay and get involved in the club, or they can visit one of our Equip U discipleship classes which are also on Wednesday nights.

During the summer months, we have Kids' Club that also meets on Wednesday nights from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Year-round we have exciting, fun, and educational children's Sunday School classes, which meets every Sunday morning at 9:30 am. At Tower Grove, we believe that learning the Bible is important for everyone, so we have Bible Study groups for all ages during that time as well.

You may also be interested to know that we have a year-round Preschool for 2 - 5 year olds, and a K-12 Christian School as well.

And for the littlest ones, we have a nursery that is available during our 10:45 am Sunday Mid-Morning Celebration Service, and our 6:00 pm Sunday Worship Service.
